Actor Theodore Bouloukos is every inch a New Yorker: erudite, meticulously cultured, and almost famous within an avant-garde career. So quintessentially Manhattan is this sharp-dressed man that he was profiled in New York magazine for a series called The Locals (his locale was Carnegie Hill).

Infertility - a predictable side effect?

GARDASIL LINKED TO THE DEATH OF A 16 YEAR OLD GIRL’S OVARIES

July 27th, 2013

A large part of one girls’ life has been destroyed, and the only plausible explanation is that the cause is the Gardasil vaccination. This vaccine is sold as a cervical cancer preventative, though it has never been shown to prevent any cancer of any kind. Cancer prevention has never been more than a presumption, based on a possible connection between human papilloma virus and cervical cancer. No cause-and-effect has ever been documented.
The reports of deaths and debility from Gardasil keep pouring in. As this girl’s plight demonstrates, Gardasil cannot be assumed to be safe. There is highly significant – not to mention suspicious – missing data.

A tribute

Student's voice, passion for music will forever be alive

Published 6:49 pm, Monday, July 22, 2013
Local musician Pat Tiernan died a year ago this week on July 24. Faces tumble through my thoughts in an avalanche of memories as I sort through the images of people I encountered at the funeral services of my former student last July. So many young people searching for some spiritual morphine to deal with the death of a close friend; a friend who died much too young at 29, and at a time when the pieces of his life's puzzle were finding their way to their proper place.
Pat grew up in Rensselaer County, graduated from Columbia High...

Warrior Cpl. Roman Goddeau and family
(Rensselaer, NY) When Cpl. Jeremy Walton signed up for a Wounded Warrior skiing trip provided by a local non-profit STRIDE Adaptive Sports which offers sports programs for individuals with disabilities, he had no idea just how much his life would change. The March ski trip offered him and his family a chance to spend camaraderie with other veterans, and the opportunity to learn how to snowboard after combat injury left him with a Traumatic Brain Injury. But STRIDE ‘s  mission promotes that healing comes in giving not receiving, and they plant that seed for Warriors to continue their time volunteering for STRIDE after the sport weekend is over.

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — Neighborhood watch volunteerGeorge Zimmerman was cleared of all charges Saturday in the shooting ofTrayvon Martin, the unarmed black teenager whose killing unleashed furious debate across the U.S. over racial profiling, self-defense and equal justice.
Zimmerman, 29, blinked and barely smiled when the verdict was announced. He could have been convicted of second-degree murder or manslaughter. But the jury of six women, all but one of them white, reached a verdict of not guilty after deliberating well into the night. Their names have not been made public, and they declined to speak to the media.
Martin's mother and father were not in the courtroom when the verdict was read; supporters of his family who had gathered outside yelled "No! No!" upon learning of the not guilty verdict.
The teen's father, Tracy, reacted on Twitter: "Even though I am broken hearted my faith is unshattered I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY BABY TRAY."
His mother also said on Twitter that she appreciated the prayersfrom supporters.
"Lord during my darkest hour I lean on you. You are all that I have," she wrote.
