Washington Avenue Armory says Bernie Sanders holding rally

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Presidential candidate and Vermont senator Bernie Sanders is scheduled to bring his campaign to Albany.
The Washington Avenue Armory said Sanders will hold a rally at the venue on Monday, April 11. Doors for the event will open at 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are encouraged.

Admission is first come, first served.

The Capital Region will be hosting several presidential candidates on Monday.

Republican contender Donald Trump will be at the Times Union Center at 7 p.m. Ohio governor and republican candidate John Kasich will meet with the Republican Assembly Conference in Albany, host a town hall at LaSalle Institute in Troy, and then appear at the Saratoga Springs City Center Monday evening.

Presidential hopefuls have been flocking to the Capital Region ahead of the upcoming New York primaries.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held a rally at Cohoes High School on Monday, and republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz held a town hall at Mekeel Christian Academy on Thursday.

The New York primaries take place on April 19.
