Health Care Dissent

WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney, reacting to the Supreme Court's health care ruling Thursday, said, "I agree with the dissent."
The dissent tosses out the entire health care law, dismissing the case for it as "feeble" and a "vast judicial overreach." It argues that "against a mountain of evidence," its backers offer only the "flimsiest of indications to the contrary."

Supreme Court: Required Healthcare is constitutional

WASHINGTON -- The individual health insurance mandate is constitutional, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday, upholding the central provision of President Barack Obama's signature Affordable Care Act.
 Five justices concluded that the mandate, which requires virtually all Americans to obtain minimum health insurance coverage or pay a penalty, falls within Congress' power under the Constitution to "lay and collect taxes."

Roll over accident on Old Post Road

Caitlyn Main was first on the scene for a rollover on Old Post. 
Her mother Kelly asked her if she needed me to come until the ambulance gets there, her response "I got this. This is all in the training."

Caitlyn Main was at home on Maple Hill Road when around 8:00 p.m. she heard a loud bang from the area close to her friend's house and thought immediately that something must be wrong.  Trained as a fire fighter Castleton, Caitlyn is no stranger to emergencies.

Five injured - charges filed

SCHODACK — An 18-year-old Nassau woman who was behind the wheel when her car slid off Route 9J Tuesday night, injuring herself and all four of her passengers, now faces criminal charges.
Taylor Woodcock was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, both misdemeanors, and was ticketed for speeding, failing to keep right and making an unsafe lane change.

UPDATE

SCHODACK, N.Y. --The Schodack Police Department says the driver of the car that crashed late Tuesday night in the Town of Schodack, sending five people to the hospital, has been charged.
