Maple Hill High School will host "United to Fight It: Preventing Substance Abuse" on Tuesday, Mar. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. The event will feature part of a film on the subject followed by a panel discussion. The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department will also collect unused or expired medication for proper disposal at the event. More info.

SOLAR ENERGY OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE
Community Advocates for Sustainable Energy (CASE)* is sponsoring a public forum about today’s diverse solar electricity energy choices on Wednesday, March 28th at 6:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church at 1 Gilligan Rd. East Greenbush.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
Event moderator is Bill Reinhardt, Albany County legislator and Solarize Albany director.
Becky Meier of CASE will present a Power Point slide show about local solar energy choices.

Mar 16, 2018 | District, Genet, Goff, Green Meadow, Red Mill, SutherlandEight teams from East Greenbush CSD competed at the 2018 Odyssey of the Mind Regional Tournament this past weekend, testing their creativity, communication and problem-solving skills. Teams from Goff Middle School and Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School placed third in their events.

Hoops Against Hunger
Hoops Against Hunger - Friday, Mar. 9 at 7:00 p.m.A
Maple Hill High School will host its annual Hoops Against Hunger charity basketball game on Friday, Mar. 9 at 7:00 p.m. Cost is $3 or $2 with a canned food or non-perishable food item.
All proceeds of the event benefit The Anchor. "Come on out and watch your favorite 'out of shape and past their prime' teachers compete against each other in a fun event for a good cause. Hope to see you there!" said organizer Pat Austin.
