Recycle old electronics at Taft Furniture Saturday, April 23
The ninth annual Electronics Recycling Day will take place 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Taft Furniture, 1960 Central Avenue.
Items to be accepted include computers, printers, fax machines, network equipment, cellular phones, computer parts and components, televisions, VCR and DVD players, wire, cable, modems, air conditioners/dehumidifiers and microwave ovens.
The following items will not be accepted: batteries, thermostats, thermometers, toasters, hair dryers, medical waste, hazardous waste, ink jet cartridges and vacuum cleaners.
The event will be in honor of Sharon Fisher who organized and ran the WNYT electronic collection event as a volunteer for many years.
A $2 per vehicle donation is requested to benefit St. Peter's ALS Center.
