It is estimated that 300,000 people live with the daily struggles of arthritis in the Capital Region, including Craig Wilkinson from Schodack Landing. Craig battles the ravages of this disease with an easy-going, never-sit-still attitude.  He volunteers everywhere; Castleton Ambulance, Schodack Police and all three Schodack school builings. Everyone knows him and he knows everyone.  Greeting staff and students by name, he is a fixture in the community. Recently, Craig visited Mr. Austin's Health class where he explained why he has to wear the boot on his left foot. The Arthritis is slowly eating away his joints.  Craig showed the class x-rays of the many pieces of hardware implanted in his hands and feet.  Operations and endless medications, Craig described a typical day living with Arthritis to the students.

On his Facebook page Craig writes "
There are 2 things happening that are near and dear to my heart. The kids at Maple Hill Elementary School are holding a 4 on 4 Basketball tourney this Saturday May 7th from 11am to 3pm. There is food Bball, 4square, and a 22 ft slide. It is a fund raiser for the Arthritis Foundation. Team "Wildcat Pride" will be walking in the Arthritis Walk on May 22nd. Click on link below.
