On Tuesday, May 17, Ichabod Crane/Kinderhook District residents defeated the 2011-2012 proposed budget with 1089 voting in favor and 1594 voting against it. The $33,837,503 budget carried a tax levy of 3.98 percent.

Rensselaer

Voters rejected the Rensselaer City School District $21.6 million budget by seven votes, school officials said Wednesday afternoon.

The district's Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m. to discuss the what steps to take next in light of the defeat. Results show that 280 voted against the budget and 273 voted for it.
