Budget Vote on Tuesday, May 17 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in MMHHS Gym

The community can vote on the proposed 2011-12 budget on Tuesday, May 17 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Maple Hill High School gym. The district has cut spending for the third year in a row with its 2011-12 proposed budget, which totals $20,125,047.

However, due to a $761,126 cut in state aid for 2011-12 - and a $1.9 million state aid cut over the last two years - the budget requires a 2.71% increase in the tax levy. The budget newsletter was mailed to residents and is available here.

District Budget Vote and BOE Election May 17
The 2011-2012 budget vote and Board of Education election will take place Tuesday, May 17, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the following locations: Bell Top Elementary School, DPS Elementary School, Green Meadow Elementary School and Goff Middle School. Please visit our Budget & Tax page for more information.
Don't forget to go out and vote for the school budget 5/17!
Remember,  if the budget does not pass, the Board may opt to submit it for a second vote - and the budget will likely include further reductions.
If the second vote does not pass, a contingency budget must be adopted (by law) and will result in significant further reductions. We encourage you to make your vote count!
