95 degrees - how about going skating?

Rink fees waived at Knickerbacker Ice Arena

 

 


TROY – Mayor Harry Tutunjian has announced that, due to the recent spike in temperatures, fees for public skating at the Knickerbacker Ice Arena will be waived today and tomorrow. Public skating will be held today from 12:40 p.m. to 2 p.m. and tomorrow from 12:40 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m.


Additionally, the rink will be open all day today, with a high school summer hockey league on the ice from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The rink will open at 9 a.m. tomorrow and there will be open hockey pick-up games from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The city invited residents to utilize the ice rink as a cooling station if necessary. The Knickerbacker Ice Arena is located at 103rd Street and 8th Avenue in Lansingburgh.
