Thomas W. Prevost Obituary


Prevost, Thomas W. CASTLETON Thomas W. Prevost, 67, of Castleton, died suddenly on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at his residence.
Tom was born in Granville, N.Y. on June 18, 1945, and was the son of the late Homer and Margaret Prevost. Tom was a life-long resident of Castleton and served his community as a life-time member of the Castleton Volunteer Fire Company. He was employed for many years by the Village of Castleton Department of Public Works and most recently retired from the Town of Schodack Highway Department. Tom was a kind, loving father, proud grandfather and a friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole P. Branch (William) of Clifton Park; grandsons, Kaiden and Liam; brothers, John E. Prevost (Carol) of Knightdale, N.C., Edward J. Prevost (Catherine) of Castleton, Gerald H. Prevost (Rebecca) of Lyndonville, Vt.; and several nieces, nephews and their families. He is also survived by his best friend and fishing buddy, Kenneth "Whitey" White of East Schodack. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y. Friends may call after 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Castleton Volunteer Fire Company in Tom's memory.
