NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Schodack, Rensselaer County, State of New York, invites sealed bid proposals for demolition and removal of the former Town Hall building
at 1777 Columbia Tpke., Castleton, NY 12033, tax map #189.-10-7. Said demolition and removal is to be in compliance with Part 56 of Title 12 of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York (12 NYCRR Part 56), a copy of which is available for review at the Schodack Town Clerk's Office along with a copy of the Pre-Asbestos Demolition Survey Plan.. All materials to execute the project are to be supplied by the contractor. Additionally, topsoil and seeding of the site are to be performed upon completion of demolition. Air monitoring will be performed by a separate contractor hired by the Town of Schodack. Work must be completed within 10 days of the bid award date.
FURTHER, review documents as indicated above and Bid Proposal forms are available at the Office of the Town Clerk, 265 Schuurman Rd., Castleton, NY 12033, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
FURTHER, all bid proposals shall contain a non-collusive certificate and a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. All bidders must comply with the General Municipal Law Section 103.
FURTHER, bids will be received until 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Office of the Town Clerk, at which time all bids will be opened and read aloud.
FURTHER, the Town of Schodack reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, and to waive any informalities discovered therein.
