Bank Robbery

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Police are investigating a bank robbery a TD Bank in East Greenbush and are asking for public assistance.
According to East Greenbush Police, the robbery occurred at around 10 a.m. Wednesday at the bank located at 71 Troy Road. The suspect showed the teller a note that demanded money and warned the teller to cooperate so that "…no one gets hurt," according to police.
Authorities have described the suspect as a white male, 6' or taller, in his late 20s to early 30s. He was unshaved at the time and may have had a heavy beard. The suspect also had an upper lip mustache and possibly a goatee.
Witnesses told police that the suspect was wearing a heavy dark hooded coat with the hood up over a dark knit hat. He also wore gloves, blue carpenters' jeans with frayed bottom hems and heavy work boots.
The suspect approached the bank on foot from Troy Road and also fled on foot. Police say he was last seen entering the Mill Creek neighborhood opposite the bank.
Police are asking residents of the Mill Creek and Commons neighborhoods if they may have seen a pedestrian matching the above description, shortly before or after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 479-2525
