The village courtroom is tiny, and for its final night court session it was packed with memories, humor and sadness for Village Justice Paul W. Peter and his three-person staff.
Every Tuesday night for the last 16 years, Peter presided over the civil, criminal and
traffic cases that found their way to the courtroom tucked in the rear of Village Hall.
"It's been a great opportunity to serve the people of the village of Castleton," said Peter,
who presided in a jacket and tie without a judge's black robe.
