Schodack Police send out a warning after burglaries and car break-ins

SCHODACK -- For Winnie Kutchukian and her husband, burglars breaking into their home was shocking enough.
"I think we feel like we've been invaded," she said.
Now they're dealing with the reality the thieves also took precious pieces of their family history.

"Basically they're taking cash and jewelry. They're breaking into homes. There's a larger number of break ins into vehicles," said Schodack Police Chief Bernhard Peter.
He' s warning residents to keep their homes and cars locked. And if you see anything suspicious, say something. Call the police, and watch out for your neighbors.
