Updated: Saturday, December 13 2014, 09:16 PM EST UPDATE: SCHENECTADY -Schenectady Police are investigating a shooting on State Street that claimed the life of a 30 year-old woman. Officers say 30 year old Markia Booth, also known as Markia Harris was shot numerous times in the torso. She was transported to Ellis Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say witnesses observed a male fled the scene on Linden Street. He was located a short time later near Becker and Elder Street. Police say he is being interviewed as a person of interest.
