County Executive Jimino's hearing on the Drinking Water Protection Law bill s scheduled for thisWednesday, December 2 at 5 p.m. in Conference Room A, which is located on the fifth floor of the County Office Building, 1600 7th Avenue, downtown Troy.

This is the time to once again call out the troops, this time not to yell and scream but to simply state to the hearing officer for Mrs. Jimino: "Please sign the Drinking Water Protection Law bill that the Legislature passed on November 23rd. This proposed law protects groundwater supplies that the county's rural residents depend upon for their drinking water supply. It also covers any blasting that the Northeast Energy Direct project will require, which is important since that project is the largest that the county has seen in years and may affect thousands of residents. Thank you."

I strongly recommend flooding her office with e-mails in support of her signing the bill. See below for a sample e-mail (the person copied on the email is Chris Meyer, Deputy County Executive).
