Sign an unprecedented: Coalition Letter Which Requests That Governor Cuomo Adopt a Statewide Moratorium on Fossil Fuel Project Approvals
Greetings,
I write to request that you become a signatory to an extraordinarily important new coalition letter which requests that Governor Cuomo adopt a statewide moratorium on approvals for new pipelines, compressor stations, power plants, storage facilities as well as all other infrastructure projects that would perpetuate New York's addiction to natural gas, oil, coal and refined petroleum products.

What Our New Coalition Letter Could Accomplish
If the Governor fulfills our respectful request, a wide array of fossil fuel projects would be thwarted, including: the New Marketnatural gas pipeline, the Constitution natural gas pipeline, a gas supply line to the CPV (Competitive Power Ventures) power plant, the Pilgrim crude oil/refined petroleum products pipeline, the Northern Access natural gas pipeline as well as theCrestwood Midstream Liquefied Petroleum Gas storage project and the proposed expansion of the Arlington natural gas storage facility.
Support an Historic New York State Legislators Sign-on Letter
Our coalition letter echoes the requests of an historic State Legislators sign-on letter with 22 signatories who are Assemblymembers and State Senators. This incredible letter was written and circulated by Assemblywoman Barbara S. Lifton (D/WFP-125AD). Thank you, Ms. Lifton.

Renewable Energy Challenges
Big Green environmental groups often promise that New York will achieve 50% renewable energy in 30 years or 100% renewable energy in 50 years.
In reality, extremely meager progress is being made to achieve those goals.
Less than 5% of New York's energy generating capacity involves wind and solar. In recent years, the actual amount of energy produced by wind and solar was a shockingly low 2.8%. Virtually all of New York's renewable energy is generated by ancient hydroelectric facilities (15%).
In contrast, a just-released Power Trends 2016 report documents that 57% of New York's current energy generating capacity involves natural gas or natural gas with oil back-up. If abundant and inexpensive natural gas continues to cannibalize more expensive coal, oil and nuclear generated power, 90% of New York's power could be generated by natural gas and oil for decades to come. We must make sure that does not happen.

Conclusion
I implore you to beat the bushes for signatories: Coalition Letter Which Requests That Governor Cuomo Adopt a Statewide Moratorium on Fossil Fuel Project Approvals
In addition to requiring Governor Cuomo to adopt our proposed moratorium, we also must persuade the Governor to drastically cut consumption of natural gas, oil and coal by maximizing energy efficiency across New York.
More very shortly about how we can make that happen.
Thanks to each and every person who provided generous donations. This highly successful New York Marcellus Shale Campaign is impossible without your support.
Onward and upward,
Walter
