Youth Organize Climate Rally Calling for Divestment of Teachers’ Pension Fund and Legislative Climate Action

AUGUST, 2021 -- In response to both the New York legislature and the NYS Teachers Retirement System’s inactivity on climate action this year, advocates are holding a rally outside of the Capitol. This youth-led event, hosted by the New York Youth Climate Leaders and a range of other cosponsors, will bring in advocates from around the state to condemn legislators and the NYSTRS Board for their hesitation to act upon climate issues.
