Candle Fundraiser to Benefit Columbia Class of 2026

The Columbia High School Class of 2026 is proud to partner with Castleton Candle, a local small business based in East Greenbush, to offer an opportunity to purchase safe, clean-burning, hand-poured soy candles. Please consider exploring the variety of scents and products (including both traditional and wickless candles, as well as melts) available at www.castletoncandle.com.

The ordering deadline is Wednesday, November 30. Distribution will take place on December 15 at Columbia.

Twins Allyson and Whitney Smith are identical in appearance, but their distinct personalities contrast in more ways than one. Whitney is a passionate shopper, and Allyson prefers spreadsheets. But what they do share is a passion for environmentalism.

Questar III BOCES recognized its late board vice president Donald Kline today at a ribbon-cutting event at the Hudson-based school now named in his honor. The Donald R. Kline Technical School – which replaces the former Columbia-Greene Educational Center – honors the legacy of the late Donald Kline, who dedicated his life to public service.
