East Schodack Fire Co. Supports Bridge Project at Schodack Town Park

    The East Schodack Fire Co. has made a donation to support a project to install a second pedestrian walkway bridge at the Schodack Town Park, fire company officials announced.

    The fire company decided to donate $500 to the bridge project, following discussion by members of the company. The park is located a short distance from the fire company on State Route 150.

Schodack Republican Club Elects New Officers

The members of the Schodack Republican Club elected new officers for the coming year at the January 6 meeting, following successful elections for candidates backed by the Club.

MHMS Dessert Night Postponed

International Dessert Night Postponed 
Due to Weather

Due to the snow storm expected tomorrow, the Middle School International Dessert Night has been postponed. 

The event will be held Tuesday, January 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria.

More Snow on the Way

Be prepared-YNN Forecast Center and all other local media are warning of a classic Nor'easter.  As upstate New Yorkers - we all know about snow. We all know that people who should know better, sometimes forget that just a little bit of snow can make for dangerous conditions.  

Remember, if you don't NEED to go out, don't. Try to get your car off the road to help the plow operators with unobstructed passage.

LaFarge Study Update

LaFarge Update

The Harvard University School of Public Health offered results of a screening of a group of residents near the Lafarge plant, testing for possible exposure to certain heavy metals. Neighbors of the plant are concerned about the presence of mercury and lead in the surrounding area.
