I am chair person for the Dine to Donate program for my girlies school and would appreciate your support and hungry tummys. We will have the Easter Bunny there to visit with and take a picture of the kiddies with. Also, you can have free second helpings!! So it should fill up even the bigger hungry tummys!

Adaptive Snowsports Race for Athletes with Disabilities hosted at Jiminy Peak
(Hancock, Ma) As the country becomes riveted with the first broad coverage of the US Paralympics in Sochi Russia this week, disabled ski racers from across the Northeast will participate in STRIDE’s 19th Annual “Great Race / Diana Golden Mills Cup Level I Adaptive Race” held on Saturday morning, March 15th, 2014 at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, MA. This heartwarming event, a day of monumental achievements realized on the race course at Jiminy Peak, is open to all adaptive skiers of any age, skill level and disability. The event is targeted for youth to experience the thrill of competition on trails, but attracts many adults as well; including Wounded Warriors who STRIDE has a long history of serving.

Wounded Warriors in Troy, NY on March 7
Troy, NY - STRIDE Adaptive Sports welcomes 15 regional Wounded Warriors with their families to the Capital Region for a weekend of healing through sports. Arriving in Troy March 6, they will spend a day getting to know each other and a private tour at the New York State museum, and then join STRIDE’s team of instructors at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort learning how to ski and snowboard Saturday and Sunday. Many of the participants are from New York State Transition units, having recently returned with medical trauma. Five are alumni Warriors, invited back in mentorship role to guide the new Warriors through the overwhelming experience.

1st Friday
ALBANY NY – The 1st Friday of every month marks a funky and fun night of the arts in Albany, starting at 5pm. The event is fittingly named... 1st Friday. Residents and visitors flock to downtown Albany for this highly anticipated art event, administered by the Upstate Artists Guild.
“First Friday is for everybody,” said Michael Weidrich, 1st Friday Coordinator. “This event brings together an entire city for one night a month, for the arts.”
