Dog walk ends in death for Troy official

NORTH GREENBUSH — The wife of Bill Chamberlain, Troy's director of operations, found him dying on a lawn near their home after the family dog, Otis, a small terrier he took for a walk late Thursday, came home alone, a neighbor said.


Charles "C.B." Smith said Chamberlain's wife, Nancy, drove along the route Chamberlain usually took to walk the terrier when she found him collapsed on the front lawn of 6 Powell St. the corner of Powell Street and Marion Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.
