Obituary of Kent W. Sheldon
SCHODACK LANDING - Kent W. Sheldon, 84, of Schodack Landing, passed away suddenly Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Veterans Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Kent was born in Hudson, NY. son of the late Roland and Ruth Sheldon.
He graduated in 1955 from Columbia High School in East Greenbush.
He retired as owner of Sheldon Trucking Inc.
Kent enjoyed golfing, was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, and loved his dog Molly.
Predeceased by his wife Jeanette (Zacharewski) Sheldon, Siblings Todd Sheldon, Ned R. Sheldon, and Nancy Place
Survivors include two sons Kip W. (Corine) Sheldon and Douglas (April) Sheldon
Five grandchildren: Kara Sheldon, Nicole Sheldon, Alec Sheldon, Tyler (Amanda) Sheldon, Austin Sheldon, and one great granddaughter Gracie Sheldon
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Monday Jan 3 from 4-7 pm in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. with a service to follow at 7:00 pm with military honors
Interment will be Tuesday, January 4th at 10am in Nassau Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kent’s name to the Humane Society.
