TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANT (TAG) AWARDED 
 
A Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) has been awarded to "United Neighbors
Concerned About GE Dewey Loeffel Landfill (UNCAGED)" for the Dewey Loeffel
Landfill Superfund Site. TAG funding allows qualified community groups to
contract with independent technical advisors who can interpret and help the
community understand technical information about their local Superfund site.

Town of East Greenbush - Hearing is scheduled for December 14, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the East Greenbush Town Hall.




Recreational Amenities Public Workshop 


The Town of East Greenbush will be hosting a public workshop to discuss a draft plan of desired recreational amenities local residents would like to see added to the town.  At 6:30 p.m. on December 7th at the Town Hall.

Gold Krest Farm suffers ‘100 percent loss’ because of Irene

EAST GREENBUSH — Susan Webb peered at a photo of Gold Krest, the family farm along Route 9J in East Greenbush and Schodack. Not knowing the distance from which the picture had been taken, she had to guess what she was looking at.

"I asked, 'Are those pine trees?'" she recalled. "Then I looked closer. Those were the tassels on the top of corn, sticking out of the water."

Clinton Heights Fire Department receives grant

The Clinton Heights Fire Department has been given a grant by the Oliver B. Merlyn Foundation to purchase a RAD-57,  a hand held non-invasive device that tests for carbon monoxide poisoning in the blood stream in a matter of seconds.
