Ali Reinhold is a senior at East Greenbush, and she raised almost $20,000 to pay for Arafa Salimu's travel and living expenses to attend school in the United States.
Reinhold met Salimu back in 2009 when she was part of a group of volunteers who went to Tanzania from Woodland Hill Montessori School in North Greenbush through the nonprofit WaterPowerPeace. Salimu is from Babati, Tanzania.
