Casey Anthony Trial Verdict:NOT GUILTY Of First-Degree Murder 

The case against Anthony was mostly circumstantial, but as it unfolded she was portrayed in the trial as a promiscuous, self-centered woman who became a cold-blooded killer. The motive, prosecutors alleged, was to allow her to live a carefree life without her daughter. 

Former FBI criminal profiler Candice De Long told The Huffington Post that the prosecution must have offended the jurors.


Bride and Groom? First day hiccup for NY same-sex marriages
New York was expecting an economic windfall from the legislation. But marriage license applications made available to same-sex couples for the first time on Tuesday still used the terms "bride" and "groom."

ALBANY – Passed in last weeks legislative session, the bill allowing school districts to borrow up to $1 billion to cover pension costs will be vetoed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
