You can make a difference

Petition to deny Stephen Kuber Parole

Target: Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Albany, NY
Sponsored by: Kristin Shaw

A parole hearing is scheduled for the last week in March, 2013, for Stephen Kuber, a man characterized by Supreme Court Justice Joseph Harris as amoral and animalistic, and who murdered Kimberly Jaye Decker on July 10, 1990. On that date, Kuber went to the Altamont home of Ms. Decker where he brutally strangled, raped and then murdered her, after trying multiple methods to do so, including slitting her throat, smashing in her skull and trying to choke her to death with baking soda.

His cold blooded methods coupled with his lack of remorse prove he is not fit to ever be released from prison.

Castleton on WGNA

A note from Mayor, Joe Keegan

Castleton and me were on the radio this morning for some show that wrote a musical parody about Castleton.  I even get a shout out for my cheesecake.

Click on the live version, not the studio version to hear me introducing the song and giving comments after.

District Seeks Community Input Through Budget Survey

Schodack eNews – Districtwide News

As part of continued efforts to involve our community in the budget development process, the district is offering a survey where residents can provide suggestions and give guidance about what information they need to better understand the 2013-14 budget. The survey runs through January 11. “Once again we are facing serious challenges next year due to New York State’s continued cuts to state aid,” said Superintendent Bob Horan. “We want to hear from our residents to help us make decisions and better communicate the challenges we face.” Visit the district website, www.schodack.k12.ny.us, for a link to the survey.
