Serious Accident injures three
An accident on Maple Hill Road. A car with three passengers traveling at a high rate of speed, according to Schodack Police, crossed the double line, striking a parked car.  The car then struck a road sign and sheared a utility pole before coming to rest in the field.  The passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken by Castleton Ambulance to Albany Medical Center.

The driver of the Honda Civic was given a breathalyzer which confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the crash. However and open bottle of Jim Beam was clearly visible on the front passenger seat.

The second car was totaled. After being hit, the Pontiac was pushed backward into a pine tree where the branches broke through the rear window.
