Which Way Will the Wind Blow?
Please attend a public forum about fracked gas, health problems and environmental racism from the proposed Sheridan Hollow power plant. The event will be at the First United Methodist Church, 1 Gilligan Road, East Greenbush on Monday, June 25 at 6:30 pm.
Featured speakers include Merton Simpson, Albany County Legislator of Sheridan Hollow and Co-Chair of the Sheridan Hollow Alliance for Renewable Energy (SHARE) who will talk about the proposed project and SHARE’s work to build renewable energy alternatives for the region; and Dr. David Carpenter, Director of the Institute for Health & Environment at the University of Albany. Dr. Carpenter has done extensive research on the health effects of fracking.

Residents protest against the plan
SCHODACK - Town residents want Schodack officials to put the brakes on a plan for a million-plus-square-foot distribution center that between Interstate 90 and Route 9, expressing fear that heavy truck traffic would alter their residential neighborhoods.
