Party to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Castleton, NY -- A fun, family-friendly event to benefit the Northeastern NY chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be held on Sunday, November 1 from 4-8 PM at the Comfort Inn at 99 Miller Road, Castleton. Cole’s Rock & Funk Pizza Party is named for Cole Halvax, a Maple Hill High School student who lives with the daily challenges posed by cystic fibrosis (CF).

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening progressive disease that causes persistent lung infections and which, despite ever-improving treatments, has no cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a driving force in improving the lives of CF sufferers and working towards a cure, funding more innovative, groundbreaking research than any other organization in the world.

The party will feature a dance floor and live music by headliner Oobleck, the Capital District’s premiere original funk band, and Connecticut-based Organized Chaos, a group that delivers familiar songs with an unfamiliar twist.  The special opening act -- Bykes with a Why -- includes Cole performing rock tunes with several of his Maple Hill friends and classmates.

In keeping with the event’s fun and casual theme, food will include pizza, subs, sliders, appetizers and desserts. In addition to the soft drinks included with admission, a wine and beer cash bar will be available to those 21 and older with proper identification.  Cole’s party will be rounded out with a silent auction for a variety of great items.

Tickets are $20 for adults (12 and over) and $10 for children under 12.  Ticketless advance registrations are available online at:

 Only advance registrants and ticket buyers are eligible for door prizes.
