The Friends of Castleton Public Library are holding a cheesecake fundraiser as part of their annual Barnes & Noble fundraiser. 

Click here for link to order form. 

Checks accepted (made out to Barnes & Noble) and order form can be turned in at the library through November 5. Pick up cheesecake from B&N on November 17.

Hoops Against Hunger

Maple Hill High School will host its annual Hoops Against Hunger charity basketball game on Friday, Mar. 9 at 7:00 p.m. Cost is $3 or $2 with a canned food or non-perishable food item. 

All proceeds of the event benefit The Anchor. "Come on out and watch your favorite 'out of shape and past their prime' teachers compete against each other in a fun event for a good cause. Hope to see you there!" said organizer Pat Austin.

Rensselaer, NY – November 5, 2015 –  STRIDE Adaptive Sports will host the 30 Years of STRIDE Gala Celebration on Saturday, November 14^th, at 6pm in the new Renaissance Albany Hotel.  The event will be the hallmark event of STRIDE’s 30^th anniversary year and will raise funds to support the nonprofit’s therapeutic sports programs for individuals with disabilities.

Party to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Castleton, NY -- A fun, family-friendly event to benefit the Northeastern NY chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be held on Sunday, November 1 from 4-8 PM at the Comfort Inn at 99 Miller Road, Castleton. Cole’s Rock & Funk Pizza Party is named for Cole Halvax, a Maple Hill High School student who lives with the daily challenges posed by cystic fibrosis (CF).

Brunch for Britt

Please come join us at Wranglers on September 28, 2014 beginning at 12:00 p.m. as we joint in the fight against ALS. Together we will offer our support to Mike Britt and his family. Mike is a marine vet and longtime Rensselaer mail carrier.

Mike is a loving dad, grandfather, husband and son, also a friend to many in the community. We are asking everyone to come together for Mike to help raise money for finding a cure for ALS. Tickets are $15 which includes brunch and music by White Water. Brunch will be served from noon till 2 and you can stay as long as you would like.
