In preparation for an upcoming Spring Book Sale, the Friends of the Castleton Public Library are accepting donations of very good condition books, DVDs and CDs. Donations can be placed in the back hallway of the Library/Village Hall (85 South Main Street, Castleton). All donations are greatly appreciated.

As a reminder, our annual organizational meeting of the Castleton Public Library Board will be held next Tuesday, January 17^th at 7:00 pm, Castleton Village Hall.

In addition to regular business, we will also hold officer elections.  I encourage all members to strongly consider running for an officer position.

Subject: Barnes and Noble Fundraiser to benefit the Castleton Public Library!

 

On Saturday, November 19^th, 10am-10pm there will be a fundraiser at Barnes and Noble, Colonie Center, to benefit the Castleton Public Library. A portion of sales, when accompanied with voucher (see our website: (www.castletonpubliclibrary.org) will go to the Castleton Public Library! In addition, the Friends will have many raffle baskets available that day. $1/chance to win! There will be many activities hosted by the Friends of the Library throughout the day. Stop by to enjoy music, dancing, storytelling and crafts! Please see the library’s website for a list of times and activities!

Friends receive Walmart Community Grant

The Friends of the Castleton Public Library were awarded a Walmart Community Grant. This Grant allowed the Friends to purchase a family membership pass to the Hancock Shaker Village, purchase movies and snacks for a Family Movie Night program and helped support the Castleton Public Library’s summer reading program. 


A large thank you to Walmart for financially supporting our efforts!

If you can help, please let me know. We will be helping with an end of summer reading project and breakfast.
