Announcement: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold two 'Q & A' open house Information Sessions on March 3 (Kinderhook) and March 4 (Nassau) to discuss the cleanup of the Dewey-Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site in the Rensselaer County town of Nassau, and why they have chosen to bring the contamination across county lines—to Columbia County—and dump into our Valatie Kill.

EPA hosted Public Information Meeting for the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site

Concerned citizens were on hand to listen to the EPA's presentation and ask questions about the process. 

Thanks to   a Technical Assistance Grant (TAG)  awarded to “United Neighbors Concerned About GE Dewey Loeffel Landfill (UNCAGED)” for the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site. TAG funding allows qualified community groups to contract with independent technical advisers who can interpret and help the community understand technical information about their local Superfund site.
