EPA TOXIN RELEASE "Q & A" OPEN HOUSE

Bring your Questions and Join Us  at the EPA's First Columbia County Community Q& A Session  Concerning the Dewey-Loeffel Treated Water and Leachate  currently being dumped into the Valatie Kill  

Announcement: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold two 'Q & A' open house Information Sessions on March 3 (Kinderhook) and March 4 (Nassau) to discuss the cleanup of the Dewey-Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site in the Rensselaer County town of Nassau, and why they have chosen to bring the contamination across county linesto Columbia Countyand dump into our Valatie Kill.

EPA Superfund Dewey Loeffel Landfill

EPA hosted Public Information Meeting for the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site


Concerned citizens were on hand to listen to the EPA's presentation and ask questions about the process. 

Thanks to   a Technical Assistance Grant (TAG)  awarded to “United Neighbors Concerned About GE Dewey Loeffel Landfill (UNCAGED)” for the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site. TAG funding allows qualified community groups to contract with independent technical advisers who can interpret and help the community understand technical information about their local Superfund site.

EPA is hosting a Public Information Meeting for the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a public information meeting to update residents and other interested parties about activities at the Dewey Loeffel Landfill Superfund Site in the Village of Nassau, Rensselaer County, New York.
