East Greenbush restricts water usage
The town of East Greenbush has restricted water use for at least a day and a half after a water main break Tuesday.
The break was at Troy and Luther roads sometime before 11 a.m. Tuesday, the town website said.

The expressway was closed to traffic on July 13 after a bridge inspection revealed a 10-foot-long crack in the concrete pier cap beam of two piers carrying the bridge over Broadway.

New Borrowing Policies
The Castleton Public Library is adjusting its borrowing policies to be more consistent with libraries in the Upper Hudson Library System. The new policies are as follows:
- Beginning August 1: All NEW adult fiction and nonfiction books will be loaned for a period of 14-days. This will only apply to NEW books checked out on or after August 1st.
The following policies are already in place:
- All magazines will be loaned for a period of 14-days.
- There is no longer a 3 DVD limit when borrowing DVDs.
