October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

East Greenbush Goes Pink!

On Wednesday, October 19th, East Greenbush will be "Going Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness. East Greenbush employees will be wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and residents are encouraged to do so as well.

Throughout the month of October, Receiver of Taxes Toni Murphy and Town Clerk Linda Kennedy will have pink ribbons located in their offices for residents to have. Please stop by, grab a ribbon, and show your support.

Schodack Education Foundation

Schodack Central School District upcoming discussion

Ralph LaMontagna from Averill Park’s Educational Foundation will be able to meet with us on October 19th at 6:00 pm to talk about the process they went through to start a foundation. We will meet in the high school library, refreshments will be served.

Here are a couple of links to other schools with foundations:

I would also like to spend the second part of the meeting on an overview of the Property Tax Levy Limit (“Tax Cap”) Law and its potential impact on Schodack. There will be more detailed information from the Board of Education at the October 20th Board meeting. Clear and informative communication about the Property Tax Levy Limit will be a extremely important role of CBAT this school year – we need everyone to become involved and informed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call, email, or stop in.
