How you can help

***Update!  The East Greenbush Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary are still collecting...the truck pull out next weekend so there is still time to donate...there is a need for Cleaning products and personal care items.

The East Greenbush Fire Company & Ladies Auxiliary are collecting basic necessities for victims of Hurricane Sandy, Friday, November 9th 4p-8p & Saturday, November 10th Noon-8p at the Park Station Fire House, 68 Phillips Rd,  East Greenbush. 
We are collecting blankets, sleeping bags, water, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, soap, diapers, baby food & formula, batteries, pet food, new socks, new underwear, bleach, shovels, work gloves, face masks, heavy duty garbage bags, gift cards, non-perishable foods and other basic necessities. Can also use band-aids, neosporin, ace bandages, Advil, Tylenol.

All donations will be brought downstate to New York City next weekend after the collection.

The brunt of the Hurricane Sandy hybrid weather mayhem will be concentrated where the hurricane comes ashore early Tuesday, but there will be hundreds of miles of steady, strong and damaging winds and rain for the entire Eastern region for several days, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

EAST GREENBUSH -- The East Greenbush Fire Department is conducting an internal investigation into the misuse of the department's bank account.
Fire Company President Jeff Tooker confirmed there is an investigation into missing funds.
