John Caporta says goodbye

After 40 years of working in education, including the past 26 years as principal of Red Mill Elementary School, Principal John Caporta is retiring in June. We sat down with Mr. Caporta to talk about his career, the changes in education over the years, and what he will miss most.

An RPI freshman is credited with saving passengers on a runaway Amtrak train.

As NewsChannel 13 reported on Wednesday evening, two train cars separated shortly after departure from Rensselaer to New York City. Reuben Clarke was a passenger on that train.
