Districts Information for Reopening Schools this Fall

The East Greenbush Central School District, after reviewing guidance from the New York State Education and Health Departments, and discussing plans with the district’s Reopening Task Force throughout the summer, announced its preliminary reopening plan on Monday afternoon which includes a hybrid model of in-person, remote and live virtual instruction. The Schodack Central School District has formed a Reopening Task Force, including four Advisory Committees, which are helping to develop plans to reopen schools in the fall. As we create these plans and submit them to the state for approval, we will be sharing information regularly at the links here:  Reopening Information | State Guidance

At last night’s special meeting of the board of education, the Administrative Reopening Task Force presented the preliminary reopening plans for Ichabod Crane Central Schools. The complete Ichabod Crane 2020-2021 Reopening Plan document will be publicly available on this page tomorrow (July 31, 2020)

Eden Renewables Now Accepting Applications for $5,000 Green STEM Scholarship Program

High School Seniors in Duanesburg, Glen, and Schodack Pursuing a Career in Green STEM are Invited to Apply by June 5th

New York - Troy-based community solar developer Eden Renewables is calling for applications for its 2020 Green STEM Scholarship Program for graduating high school seniors, valued at a total of $5,000. Students pursuing a career in fields that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources are invited to apply before the deadline of June 5th.

The Capital Project was approved today by a vote of 291 to 153. “We would like to thank everyone in our community who came out to vote,” said Superintendent Bob Horan. “This project will help us prepare out students even better for college and careers by providing modern classrooms that encourage collaboration while making us more efficient so we can put more money into programs instead of buildings.”
