Earth Day Clean up in Castleton

Watch your speed on Main Street - especially on Sunday.

EARTH DAY, Sunday, April 22, Main Street will be filled with Girl Scouts in "safety" green shirts as they pick up trash and maintain the planters.
"Working by the road is hazardous, but with the donation of green safety shirts by Professional Services Industry, the girls will be easy to see as they give Castleton an Earth Day spruce up," said Kathy Misiaszek.
With the help of Becker's Farm, Scout Troupes 1370, 1238, and 1202 from Schodack maintain the planters on Main Street throughout the spring and summer months.

"We came in thinking they were going to blow us out. They didn't," Maple Hill senior pitcher Maggie Miller said. "We played well, hung in and made the key plays when we needed to. ... We can play with Taconic (Hills) and we can play with Chatham. We're not bad — like some people say about us."

Saturday, the Wildcats rallied from a 3-1 deficit with three runs in the bottom of sixth to beat Voorheesville 4-3.
