Library Makeover

The Castleton Public Library will start work on an interior renovation beginning Saturday, September 13, 2014. The makeover will take 4-6 weeks to complete, bringing the public an exciting new space to access the library’s collection of books, DVDs, periodicals and E-Books, as well as computer resources and programming for all ages.

A Voorheesville man faces charges after police say he had an inappropriate relationship with a child. Steven Vanalstyne, 51, is accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Brunch for Britt

Please come join us at Wranglers on September 28, 2014 beginning at 12:00 p.m. as we joint in the fight against ALS. Together we will offer our support to Mike Britt and his family. Mike is a marine vet and longtime Rensselaer mail carrier.

Mike is a loving dad, grandfather, husband and son, also a friend to many in the community. We are asking everyone to come together for Mike to help raise money for finding a cure for ALS. Tickets are $15 which includes brunch and music by White Water. Brunch will be served from noon till 2 and you can stay as long as you would like.

The king is due back in court in November

King Benjamin Ikenchuku of Nigeria was issued a traffic ticket in Ballston.
Photo: File / WNYT BALLSTON - It's not every day that local police pull over a king.

That's exactly what happened in Ballston.

The Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office confirms that Benjamin Ikenchuku was ticketed last month after a minor car accident.

Ikenchuku is a king from southern Nigeria. NewsChannel 13 first introduced you to him last October when he was visiting Albany.
The district attorney’s office says King Ben was ticketed for improper passing.    
No one was hurt in the crash.
