The "drunk bus" charges fabricated

The Drunk Bus Photo: Brittany Gregory
The shocking allegations of a racially tinged assault at the University at Albany appeared to unravel Thursday as police accused three black students of making the story up and charged the women with assaulting a fellow bus passenger.
"It was a racial crime. They were calling us [N-word] and all this stuff," Agudio tells a 911 dispatcher, according to a copy of the call released by police. "And if someone doesn't come and take this down or something, I'm going to call the news."

CASTLETON - There is nothing left of the two story home that once stood at the corner of Green Avenue and First Street. The Fire Chief says that the one person who was inside the house when the flames began, got out safely.
Abigail Bleck

"Once it gets going, and during the day there's not a lot of fire fighters around to do the work, it can spread pretty quickly," explains Castleton Chief Brian Schanck.

ALBANY- Several hundred gallons of gasoline spilled at a terminal at the Port of Rensselaer Thursday evening.

Firefighters tell us the spill happened while a tanker was being filled at the Buckeye terminal around 5:30 this evening. Things were quickly contained and most of the gasoline went into an underground tank.

A HAZMAT team was called in as a precaution, but no buildings or homes in the area were ever in danger. We've been assured none of the gasoline spilled into the river

NED Compressor Station may be relocated in Schodack

Hopefully, by now you have learned that the NED Compressor Station may be relocated in Schodack rather than Nassau as previously announced.
Maple Hill HS  being 1.6 miles from this location.
The Nassau location is a terrible spot for the NED Compressor Station and must be opposed, but so are the proposed locations in Schodack including the Rte. 9 (near Shufelt & Maple Hill Rd.) location and the 3 possible East Schodack locations between County Rte. 7 and Burden Lake Road. We need to oppose all the locations in Nassau and Schodack. All of them will hurt families and diminish property values and create health concerns.
